This is a picture of my dad's hand but he did not really lose his finger doing wood work. It was actually lost in a snow blower accident one winter about 12 years back. The snowblower he was using got clogged with snow so he shut it off to unclog it. Unfortunately the springs where still under some tension and the blade severed his finger when it became freed. He has since recovered and seems to be better at his craft without the finger!

It really upsets me to see truly authentic images like this in 92nd place. This should be a top 5 image..

This picture really does tell a story. One of my favorites in the challenge.

I used to work with a butcher who was missing several fingers. He used to smoke cigarettes between his stubs! I always wondered what became of the lost fingers!
