Deb and Don have it right, I think. It's a great image (I love that one and I love what you've done with it), but you're losing it in the text. Text is a whole new ballgame from photography. Layout/design folks have a set of rules just like photography "rules" (don't use too many fonts, don't change face without a reason, blah blah blah). I can help here (I've done layout in a previous life, as a semi-pro-amateur), but there are others on DPC who probably can do a better job (I tend to be very simple in my approach, and that's not what everyone is looking for). That said, I would go with something along the lines that Don suggested, with two one-liners (I would keep them both horizontal), in a simple, perhaps partially transparent text . . .

I love the way you've processed the picture but am not fond of the text - I agree with Don that it's crowding your image. Play around with the text a bit more. Try different fonts, too. I'd offer specific advice but I'm not all that good at the text bit. Maybe ask Jutilda? She does a lot of stuff with text on photos. And very cool that you're designing the CD cover!!

The image is great. The words seem a little chaotic to me. Maybe that's appropriate for jazz!

Actually, one problem is that hanging "of"

"of" is a bad linebreak. You can either move the of down to Jazz or you can put Jazz to the right of it instead of the left. And "Jazz" shouldn't be bigger than the rest of the title.

I think the whole title should be tucked into bottom right corner, or put it across the top and have the group name be on the bottom. It sounds like a great idea to scatter the words, but it's crowding your image. Maybe the title should go down the left side and the group name should be bottom right. I don't know.
