I swear I saw this exact photo already, If you do a bird, make it either very unique or very creative. Technically this is a great photo though.

What a great bird shot. Nice, crisp, clean. Good composition and lighting as well. Nothing in the background to detract from your subject. Good luck in the challenge.

Nice shot with lovely subdued colours. Focus is pretty good, but a little wider DOF would probably help to get consistent focus across the whole subject.
