On the way to work and the lighting on this pond grabbed my attention. Pulled over, grabbed my gear, and walked about 200 feet thru VERY wet tall grass (my shoes!) to get in position.
Usually I see a pair of swans here this time of year, but only one was out moving around. I think they may have yound ones, or are nesting. I say that because this swan chased off a mallard duck, then a canadian goose. This photo was taken just after the goose was run off.

| I gave this a 7 because I could not quite get the title with the photo. It was more of a magical scene and the title kind of grounded it too much. I do feel this is a beautiful photo and I liked how you kept the bird bright and white to make it stand out from all the gold colors. |
