I'm stunned that so many commenters couldn't tell what this was. Do these people not pay attention to the food they eat? And I think you deserved a MUCH higher score. This is a wonderfully creative take on the challenge theme. I scored this one tied with the photo that took second place.

You sure got folks commenting on this one Jon. I think it looks like an ovum with spermatozoa trying to get inside, but then that would take a really big macro lens.

Nice macro, the colors are lovey and soothing and i appreiciate the abstractness but I can't really see this in a magazine.... It looks delicious though, and stands out so i can't really fault you for that.

This cucumber is so abstract that it can't be appetizing but it does look beautiful and fresh. Like it very much.

I am going to nit-pick! LOL The only thing that is calorie free is water. This looks like some sort of fruit, maybe a lemon or lime? But that will not affect how I score the photo.
