One of the performers at the Scarborough Fair Renaissance Festival in Waxahachie Texas. She has a tent set up just slightly off the main fair path, but visible from a bridge about a hundred yards away. When I stopped to snap her picture from the bridge, she looked at me, which I think made the shot. She seems to be saying "Come down here and see me, I promise I won't bite!" She sings wonderfully, by the way. I wish I had taken a video of her singing.
Pre-challenge notes:
I have some other shots from this trip which are safer bets for scoring higher, but this is my personal favorite from the days shooting, and if I don't enter it, I will never know how it would have done. Hoping for a 6+, but expecting a mid 5, as it may not have the broad appeal needed.
Post-challenge notes:
Did better than expected, but not as well as hoped. My score tracking sheet on this one looks like a roller coaster. I knew the highly stylized retro look of this would not do well with some. I appear to have avoided most of the low votes, however. Only 11 4's, and almost equal amounts of 5's and 6's. |

| whooooooooooooooooa, i am shocked and stunned this was not a lot higher. I think it is a am amzing shot and the PP in PS is excellent. |

| the leaves near the top of the photo are kind of distracting. i dont think the white veil thing to the upper right of the girl was neccessary, its also a distraction |

| Very nice picture of the lady in scarlet, but the very busy background is extremely distracting. |
