[i]a very pretty shot indeed. but when photogrphing something that has a technical background please make sure yoru model can show off that technique. the ballerina you have shot is not fully on her point shoes. in other words she is not standing fully on the tops of her shoes. and, to be honest, her ankel is at such an angle it makes me really scared that she is going to hurt herself.
but from an artistic point of view, it's wonderful.[/i
Sophie...this is a performance shot on stage with three professional ballerinas. The were moving quite quickly, and yes they are actually coming down off of pointe in this image. So they knew what they were doing. It was a matter of luck to get the timing perfect, which I was off about 1/2 a second.

| I love the shallow DoF, giving clear focus to one set of feet but showing there's more where that came from. Nice composition. I like the reflections of the feet on the floor. I like the limited color space as well. Very nice. |
