| i am very drawn to this. i can't decide if i would like to see the stem cropped off entirely to give it more of an abstract feel--but regardless, it is a wonderful shot. the color mix is fantastic--love the two-toned background with the two-toned flower. cropping/composition and lighting are excellent. well done! |

| Another flower macro, but beautifully done. The shadow doesn't look natural becuase you'd expect some light to come in beneath the stem, and it looks pretty edited towards the upper left, but the effect is great. - 9 |

| now that's a great way to capture a tulip! Not as cliché as most of the floral photographs. The b&w background really pushes the tulip forward and the beautiful contrast shows the elegancy of the flower along with her beautiful colors. |

| Interesting composition and very nice, rich colours. I think I would have preferred more DOF. Only the stem and lower 1/3 of the flower are really sharp. This is probably intentional, but to my taste, the image would have been more effective if more of the flower had been sharp. |

| Gorgous composition! One of the best flower shot I have ever seen! And I admit, I am not too keen on flower shots... But this one talks to me a lot! Bravo! My only negative comment is that I wish there was more visible and in focus texture on the petals from middle to top of the photo, like the texture we see from middle to bottom. But appart from that nick, just great! 8 |

| I love the composition and the B&W background, you may get a comment that its oversharpened but I like the effect that brings the tulips texture out. Good Luck 9! |
