Do Drop In

While wondering how to create a subject for the water shot in flew this egret, as I was holding the remote in my hand shot away, as the camera had been set for the scene, just hoped it was in focus.

Opened raw file in PhotoShop making some changes to the curve and other settings. Opened full frame.

Via Selected masks all processing was done with,
Hue/Sat
Selective color
Levels
Sharpened with USM
Brightness/Contrast
Rotate & Crop

i like the different shades of green in this. the fountain in the background is just a bit distracting, though.

Weird colours and water is way too insignificant for the shot to be considered within theme, imho

it's frustrating because you want the bird to be the subject and you want the view to be the subject but can you have both?

imo a little on the grainy and saturated side

I would like to see more water here and less saturation on the colors. The bird is in a great pose, but I can't see it that clearly
