Very moody (even though JPEG is a little too compressed). I love those trees. |

Very Nice, John. I can't tell if it's a hazy day, or if the focus is a little soft, but either way it works. If you cropped this, I might try going back and giving it a little more negative space at the top. The tree is being crowded by the top of the frame (trees don't like that, I don't think:)). If this is full frame, you could try it with a little less black at the bottom and perhaps open it up a little more.
If this is close to home, it might be fun to go back and try it again and layer a couple of exposures: one way underexposed to get the sun sharp, and another layer like this to get the colours in the sky. Layer them and keep the best of both. Just don't enter a shot like that since it would get DQ on DPC. :)
Regards,
