 Ok, so its a simple attempt at eye candy but really an excuse to play around with some lights again and try some painting with it. Not too bad but needs work. The shadow bugs me a bit but there it is.

Actually an out-take as I first did a much cleaner shot with even light but this one felt more interesting, despite a lot of level adjustment to make it look ok.

Like that you used a hot item to go with the warm colors, and that the light is in a shape that mimics the pepper. Seems the contrast is a bit too much since there are patches of blown out colors/highlights, especially depending what angle my laptop screen is at.

I like the streak of red in your background or where the pepper is resting. I think you may get burned in voting a bit by the highlight on the pepper--its a bit harsh. But the stem is great and so is the orange color.

Definitely follows the theme of this challenge both categorically and metaphorically. Doesn't really do anything for me but thats just my humble opinion.
