I got a kick out of that comment below - pretty vague. Yes, it's pretty vague in a literal sense. Emanating beauty past and melancholy. Very good - glad you were acknowledged. Your work inspires me regularly.

You are a lucky, lucky man to be surrounded by such opportune detritus, and a smart one to take the opportunity seriously. I like the subtlety of these curves - too many times the assumption is that the challenge topic must only be expressed in a large and obvious way, to be successful. A very emotive image, with an air of eulogy. I regret not voting for this challenge.

your score must have been rotated incorrectly...it could only be 8.64 :)

simple and poignant. the little tiny curves of the wings for little tiny flights, all done now.

I gave it a 6, ranked it 3rd in the challenge and left the honours to posthumous who must have squandered all his ribbons. (I also liked the "No bugs" comment, below).

Um...wow.

This is amazing and it should be on a museum wall. It makes me feel Wizard of Oz and Flash Gordon and Metropolis all at once. There is an apocalyptic feel and an overwhelming sense of loss in the softness of the wings against the 'horizon'. -- I've given a few ten's in this challenge. It's too bad I can't give this a 20. 10+Favorite. Please make this available in print.

I would have liked this a lot more just as a plain b&w shot with 2 different areas of interest. No bugs.

I don't understand what this is.

I wonder if windowsill is going to become the next big genre at dpc. I hope so! This is a good, primitive example, and the title shows that you understand the poetry of an image like this.

I like this very much...but I'm not sure on how elaborate on why. Excellent!

Needs more interest, larger impact of subject. Pretty vague.
