MAK! I thought this was you -- and I'm so glad it was because I KNEW this one was going to be a top finisher. I wish it would have finished in the top 3 tho! It has the kind of feel that makes you want to hang it on your wall and "go there" often. Every day.

You are SO talented!

Great composition, and processing. Surprised to see this do well, since the curves were made possible with fisheye lens only, but still a great photo regardless, congrats on a top ten!

Nice one Marak. In truth this one didn't really do much for me (in comparison that one you posted today for the 14d HDR kicks SO much ass it's unreal). I think it's the toning which bugs me - in b&w shots I personally like the blacks to be black with stronger contrast. The voters all love it though :)

Really like the processing, and the fisheye effect.

great use of the wide angle to create the curves.
nice job on the b/w (and maybe some tone mapping as well).

processing smells a bit like MAK.

my pick for the blue.

Great composition, and I like the idea of creating curves from straight lines using a fisheye. The HDR treatment is a bit too much for my tastes.

HDR really well done. I'm normally one to like it subtle to help with the exposure or if done right to get a real HDR style of effect, it should look sharp like this. Clever way to get a shot like this for the challenge using the wide angle ;) It's sorta Harry Potterisque.

To be honest...I didn't like this at first. But the more I look at it, the more it draws me in. I really like the high contrast. I love that it's in black and white. And the more I study this one, the more I love the distortion of the wider angle lens. Very nice shot.

This looks like a scene out of Harry Potter or something.

Nice! I like how your lens has made curves where normally there would be none. A creative take on the challenge.

Nice shot but a little candied-up for me. I'd love to see this one closer to it's real state. My bet, a Top 5 or a Ribbon.

Even though it's a bit overdone, I like the comic book effect.

wonderful curvy distortion!! I'm not always a big fan of this editing, but it works so well with this shot! : )

That is just awesome. In black and white - it takes on a totally different feel. Like a charcoal drawing.

Excellent! Reminds me of drawing with a pencil, which I used to do a lot when in the past. To pick nits, the sky looks uh, unnatural.
