 First entry in a veeeeeeery long time. Annual cherry blossom festival started this weekend and I went down there to check it out. Absolutely gorgeous.

Washington Monument from across the tidal basin. Pretty much straight from camera, just a minor crop and added border. May have adjusted levels, don't remember; minor adjustment if I did. Don't expect it to do well because it's a bit washed out and the water is choppy, but I am very happy with the composition.

Funny, there's also one in the warm colours challenge. But I think it belongs here. A beautiful photo, I hope to see the cherry blossoms in Washington one day.

wow, i took a photo almost exactly like this last summer. Despite my bias, its a good photo but there's no significant color.

The cherry blossom framing is fantastic! The monument seems a little yellow as opposed to white, but other than that, great.
