I don't normally do this kind of street photography, but I saw this guy on the street and I 'papped' him!
Had to shoot at ISO 3200 because of low light, but i think the old 20d handled it well.

What a great candid shot Dain. I agree, the 20 D handled the 3200 well!

At first I thought this was a reenactor at an event. I really like the angle and even the noise; it gives it some nice ambiance.

thats pretty great grain for 3200 ISO, it still has lots of details and the grain really adds to this shot, looks much better than I think it would with a healthy dose of NI or the like.

Probably one of the best shots you have posted on here.. the noise/grain works well and its a great BW conversion.. well done.

I like the grain in this shot and I feel it adds to the old b&w feel. This actually reminds me of some shot you would see from the 60's. nice candid.

To me, the grain from the high ISO works extremely well in this photo. I think it adds a gritty feel which seems perfect for a street photo. I also like that you didn't lose his eye in the shadow cast by his hat.

Dang - this is awesome! Could not be a more perfect pose and look.

Me, I'm a grain hater, so I would prefer a bit of smoothing - but like I said, that's just me.

I think the grain adds nicely and I like the composition and bokeh. Similar conditions and comp to my shot of Ibi on the GTG.

Wonderful. I love to watch people who appear to be lost in thought.

great example of street photography. Good detail and the grain gives this character.

very nice use of close crop on this one - you really captured thought and introspection here - and i agree, the grain is a good touch for this one...

Very good result even at 3200. Good contrast with good blacks all around. The only nit I have is that blur in the bg looks like a human form and I find myself looking at it more than the subject.

The grain from the high ISO is a nice addition to this type of photography.
