The title of this shot refers to a poem by Robert Frost entitled 'The Road Not Taken'

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood and I --
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Thanks to Falc for driving and to both Falc and Ecce Signum for their wonderful company the day this shot was taken :o) I chose to enter this image because it was my favourite part of the day, even though the rain, sleet and snow just wouldn't leave us alone this really was a lovely spot and I hope to revisit it again some day...with my filters!!

This is one of my favorite shots in this challenge.... no, on this site. Such wonderful colors, such rich textures. You have out done yourself! Added as a favorite!

Although all the textures and the composition are a bit confusing, the colors and textures are exquisite!! I love this - very beautiful! :)

Looks like a storm just blew over! I like the bright colors in the field and the mountains in the background. The only thing to maybe change would be your POV, by simply moving to your left and looking a little more directly down the bridge. Even that in itself is not a big deal. -BB
