 Taken on the shores of the lake at Voss. Usual stuff: conversion through channel mixer, curves, levels, USM, dodge and burn.

Post-challenge: I wasn't absolutely happy with this shot and probably wouldn't have submitted it if I hadn't been determined to enter every free study this year. I hoped I'd be pleasantly surprised with the score - clearly this hasn't happened so I feel I've learnt a lesson here! I'm not sure I could have done more with the conversion - there wasn't enough detail in the hills. Not to worry, I already have something much better for next month!

I think B&W suits the subject but whatever other editing you have done here has actually made this shot quite unappealing. I'd like to have seen a lot more detail in the trees on the hill/mountain side and some detail in the foreground land.

This is just my humble opinion.
