Grapefruit moon, one star shining, shining down on me.
Heard that tune, and now I'm pining, honey, can't you see?
'Cause every time I hear that melody, well, something breaks inside,
And the grapefruit moon, one star shining, can't turn back the tide.

Never had no destination, could not get across.
You became my inspiration, oh but what a cost.
'Cause every time I hear that melody, well, something breaks inside,
And the grapefruit moon, one star shining, is more than I can hide.

Now I'm smoking cigarettes, and I strive for purity,
And I slip just like the stars into obscurity.
'Cause every time I hear that melody, well, puts me up a tree,
And the grapefruit moon, one star shining, is all that I can see.

-Tom Waits

Listen here. (a rather annoying video, but the only one I could find with him actually singing the song, which I love)

Perfect to choose a fisheye - wonderful shot and the subtle layer blends beautifully.

I love the diagonal formed by the tree.

I'm not that crazy about fisheye lenses, but I really like the work you're doing with them. I may have to change my mind. 8)

The distortion works so well, and the tones and colors are so rich! Lovely work. :)

YES YES YES!!! This is absolutely wonderful. So creative and artful. I think it is deserved of an album or book cover. That tree with the small one barely visible. WOW - this is spectacular.

I lover the dark tree reaching up into the deep blue sky, rather forlorn but also beautiful!
