I really liked this image and gave it an 8. I can't think of anything technical to improve it, it might have looked interesting with a water drop on the very tip of each petal, but I am not sure how it would have reflected with the black background.

This is very strong and very dramatic. The flower looks positively predatory.
and the black background enhances the effect. |

one of my favorite flowers -- good choice on the black as the purple/orange really pop. I'd like to see a bit more of the stem as it seems too tightly cut off at the bottom - the center of the flower (the purple/tanish part) is not quite right - could be it's fuzzy "past its peak" look?? |
