This was taken at the George Strait Roping Classic this weekend in San Antonio, TX. I had been taking photos of the roping events all day and had decided to venture outside. This guy came walking around the corner without touching his horse, or the reins. They were just walking side by side. Their bond was amazing. When he saw me, he grabbed the reins but I couldn't resist snapping a picture. I'm not really sure if it fits this category, but I really like it, so I entered it anyway.

The highlights seema bit bright in this and steal attention away from the horse and man

I feel like the golf carts detract from the cowboy aspect.

Beautiful pictures. Perhaps a backdrop of the fields or the track who have been more appropriate.

My biggest problem here is that you generally don't see cowboys and horses in front of golf carts. I get by the attire that this is a rodeo rider, but the "environment" is wrong. Would love to see this in the ring or the barn.

I'd like to see the man's face, but the photo says a lot about him.

good take on the challenge. overall contrast is too high, I'd have also liked to see his face. I wonder why there are golf carts in the bg though...

nice shot, i like how both heads are down, i think it adds a connection between the man and his horse, too bad that golf cart is in the background!! good shot though!

Looks a bit overexposed. I'd like to see more of the subject's face. Also, it's not clear what the environment is - he's walking with a horse (farm? riding classes?) but there are golf carts in the background (golf course?)...

The golf karts in the background are a little distracting, I also would like to see his face I think ... nice enough though

I dont think a golf cart is the correct environment for a man and his horse...Also, lighting is a little harsh.

distracting background and might have been better if he was looking somewhere else besides his feet.
