Every year, my daughters and I make 2-4 gallons of maple syrup from our trees in Bedford, NH, but this year has been an absolute onslaught of sap and I've had a hard time keeping up with this "northern gold". Here's a photo of the moment that the sap, according to the USDA, became syrup, 219degrees farenheit with a BRIX of 59. ISO 800, no flash, 1/20th second.

You should have shown more context to your picture. I had no idea what it was before reading the title.

It certainly gives one the impetus to think about the extreme heat, but the photo itself lacks "interest" in my own personal opinion.

Harsh, but I wouldn't have a clue but for the title.

hard to get a grasp on the subject here because of the lack of environment, perhaps if you could have included the surroundings a bit to compliment the syrup process
