Great DOF and I think of the yellow as a streak of paint. I like your use of hand held macros, I do the same. |

I have to guess that it is the lighting in this room. Didn't notice it until I posted it. Some of the shots have it and some do not. |

Well it is actually suspended about five inches above a white piece of paper on my desk. I taped it to a piece of foam and set that foam on a box of business cards. Unlike a lot of people. All of my images are done while holding the camera. I don't use extra lights or tripods on the shots I take here. My only reason, I just don't have time to set it up. Here is a shot of the bolt, still sitting on my desk, where I took the photo. [thumb]657614[/thumb] And I am wearing blue shirt, the yellow is from the walls I think or the cheap florescent lights in my office. |

Good detail and even lighting in this shot. It looks like it is lying on a slide viewing light table. Do I see your yellow shirt reflected in the threads? The lock washer adds some interest due to its different curved shape. |
