		| | I am not your monster Take your eyes off me

 Grant me a little respect
 And a smidge of dignity

 I know it is alarming
That my face is so disarming

I want so much to know
 Why you cannot see
 The beauty that is eminating
 From deep inside of me

So I will just sit here
I hide from all who wait
To get a glimpse of my hideousness
 Using insults as their bait

		| | a wrinkle in time just as I had remembered it
 stuck
 forever
 etched
 into eternity

Even though I'd seen this earlier, those words just popped into my head!!

		| | I love trying to see recognizable features in roots and trees, like clouds only different :-) This is nice! Reminds me of the face they gave John Hurt in the movie 'elephant man'; sad story, seems to fit your poem. |

		| | I think that we can safely say you have a mind that functions on a slightly different plane from most others, Wiel. That's a very good thing. |
