| Great focus.. love how you can see the little scales on the wing! I opened this up in PS and tried duplicating the bgd and changing the layer to soft light which fixed the butterfly, then made another layer and kept just the ground, and changed that layer to multiply. It was a bit overdone, but you could play with the opacities. Just an idea. Great job! |

What a great capture. Strong focus. Beautiful detail in the wing. I think a square crop would have done more to entice an extra point if this was a DPC voted challenge. Healthy burn/dodge ala  Heida (on the gravel) would add a huge amount of interest to the whole. |

| How do you get these shots? What lens? This is very well exposed. The focal plane is well placed, the whole wing is in focus. Great capture. |

What a beauty of a butterfly and the details on the wings are really very nice. I agree with  bjoern, the colors are looking somewhat flat. Perhaps just darken the midtones would help. |

I like the texture on the wings.
Maybe a bit warmer tone of the picture would be nice, on the other hand, maybe the light was just as it's in the picture. |
