The DOF is very interesting here, unusual. B/W is a good choice here. |

mmmmm coffeeeee... The DOF is very narrow, but as far as matching up, it seems to me like the focal plane cuts through the bean at the same angle the camera must have been on for the shot. I think the trick on the eyes is just because it's harder to conceptualize that plane on a steep angle rather than perpendicular. Just thinking about the mystery aloud :) |

Yes, what you said in your notes. It's like a trick for the eyes - where's the focus? In front? In back? However, I love the composition and the giant coffee bean - great idea. |

I like it, it's so "just a coffee bean". Dof is strange indeed, perhaps too much coffee in the photo. |
