 Same setup: reversed 50 mm in front of 55-200 zoom. Off camera flash so that I could skip the tripod.

Very close up picture of the pages of a book. Not a child's cardboard book, but a normal good-quality one with glossy paper and colour pictures.

You can see some print on two of the pages - yes, that's the raster pitch that you see. One single letter would take up the whole picture at this scale.

Amazing! These really don't look like they could possibly be regular pages! I wonder if fanning some of them so we could see some of the ink on the pages would help give a sense of scale? Perhaps showing a page number or letter?
