| I like the spit shield. I don't know if that is what it really is but that's what I'm calling it. The background is wild with angles and light. Nice DOF and focus. |

| I don't know if you were aware when you shot this that the BG looks a blurry bit like a huge robot's face. Great capture for that reason, and the DOF is perfect IMHO. From the title I expect that you may have been referring to the BG. |

| I agree that it feels a bit busy with all the light spots and lines, and that seems to take away from the main subject. But I like that you put the mike in some kind of context with the background. Perhaps a shallower dof to blur the bdg a bit more without losing the feel of the shot? |

| The background is too busy in my mind. Maybe if you re-edited this with selective b/w it would help out. You might also want to bring out highlights on the microphone end too. |
