There's something intriguing about the performance you are getting from your new equipment, and the statements your new series of images make to me. Looking forward to more.
I'm really not sure how this fits the challenge - but looking at the photo generally . .
I like the crop - it helps give it depth,
I like the rocks coming in both side to draw the eye in.
The sky has (potentially) some nice shapes and colours.
However the whole picture looks a little underexposed - so the rocks lose a little definition and the colours in the sky are washed out. As for the person standing there - I'm afraid I'm not really sure what that's about, or why they are there.
I feel that this was shoehorned into the challenge. As a shot, by itself, very interesting and it could be fabulous in another setting. So, if you removed the person, resaturated the colors of the hills and sky and put it into something that communicates vastness, you've have a knock-out.
