Very interesting. The blend here works very well. Wish abit more of the scroll was left intact.

Surprisingly, after blending I didn't do anything except merge, resize, and save to web. Blending is producing very unexpected results so far, but I imagine more practice makes results more predictable.

Very cool look. The edges are quite defined compared to the original image, so I'm guessing you sharpened a fair bit.
