You know it's amazing to me the way people see things. The DPC crowd is truly a strange one. Thanks to all that saw this and appreciated the art and style that went into it. This picture turned out EXACLTY how I wanted it too. As many suggested there was too much eye makeup on, I don't think so at all. It was needed to draw attention to the center of the image and create a strong point between the lights and darks. I have to say that by far this is my best image I have ever done.

Thanks to all that voted, if you left me a 2 or a 3 would you PLEASE email me and let me know what you didn’t like about it? No hard feelings just looking for an answer.

hi, i am absolutely in Love with this image! and talking of art.. well people here wud usually only judge photography on a very strange level.. if the image is absolutely sharp and light is perfect, it would just become one of the first 3, no matter if there is no thought put behind it. art is of lesser value, the reason for which is strangely unknown to me as well... as photography to me an absolute form of art, like this work by you. It is truly an outstanding piece. the washed away feel, the translucent eyes, the framing, the pattern on the cloth , everything is amazing.

Camera setting... I manually set the camera to ISO 100 but with one of the main settings it was set to ISO auto. I didn't know it until after I got in the house and zoomed in that it was all noisy. As far as aperture, well I was shooting with a softbox and 2 strobes. The image was extremely bright and I needed to control it. A faster shutter speed wasn't giving me what I wanted as the higher the aperture went the blurrier everything else got. So in shortness, it was an accident.

Slight ghostly feel to this with the choice of soft tones that works well for me.

I like when people try high key images, as they seem more challenging to pull off well. I like this one, and would only note that there are a couple of hard creases and associated shadows above and to the right of her face that that are a bit distracting. The arcing crease and softer shadow on the lower left seems okay, less distracting. Another try of this with a little tuning on the cloth draping and a bit more even lighting of it might well be worth the time and effort.

Very well done. Great expression on the models face, wonderful depth in her eyes. 10

Peeking? I'm not so sure. Nice image and well done.

I actually think the eye make-up is too harsh. That is an awful lot of black right in the center of this shot, with the hair and the eyebrows and the mascara and the eyliner. You've got a nice muted pink gloss on the lips and slight blush on the cheeks. Perhaps a soft pink or pale blue, or even just a shimmer on the eyes, leaving off the eyeliner completely.

Kind of neat looking, though my first reaction was that she is wrapped up in a tablecloth. I see now that it's a curtain.

lovely portrait shot but, wondering if perhaps, the veil having been partially over either one eye or her forehead might have conveyed the feeling of "peekaboo" a bit more?

love the tones of this photo, and the eyes are strikingly similar in color to the lips and the cloth, my favorite so far, 10
