 Pheasant wing feather. its a little roughed up, but still pretty cool.

Great focus point, love the blurred background. Would like to see a much harder sharp on the detail of the in focus tufts. Maroon/Red/Brown/Dusty background would be a perfect addition to this composition. Agree that a closer crop would emphasize the feather.

Current image likely to suffer at the hands of DPC voters ending at a 4-5.

I love the limited DOF on this feather. I think it could be cropped a bit more from the top and be a stronger image.

Interesting feather. I like how you selected the less conventional area for prime focus. I wish the top was still in frame.
