Basic is so limiting. With only 30 minutes to shoot this before the midnight deadline, there wasn't much time put into cleaning these spoons.

This was an inspiration from a photo I saw on photo.net. I'll post the image later. They did it much nicer with a photo-tent (of which I didn't have).

I had a few images to choose from and I hope this was the best choice.

I like your control of lighting on the background and stems, however, the photo is hurt by the reflections in the bowls of the spoons.

You need to watch about filling the family of angles in the heads of the spoons. I can see the lightbulb and it's very distracting.

I think you should contact the person who did the forks in a similar fashion to yours--they ended up with stronger execution with a similar idea.

Lighting is flat and doesn't help by having the room reflected in the silverware. Try using a small light tent or white sheet to block out those reflections
