The common dinner fork. I wasn't planning on entering this challenge until a friend called me up to get together and shoot for the challenge.

I think we used 3 SB lights: One with a snoot gelled blue to hit the white board angled above to reflect back down onto the fork, one with a modified gridspot (to make a smaller round light source) hitting the main section of the fork and the tile surface, and one with a bare-bulb modifier set low to provide some ambient.

I hate the stupid basic editing rules.

I really like the teal hue on this shot. It is so simple, but the color makes it much more appealing than a regular fork. DOF is great, but the bright spots above the handle distract. Good job overall.

Composition is good.

There are couple of things that would have really made this an amazing image. Overall, the image looks under exposed to me... lacks sharpness where required... some white spots in the background distracts.

nice composition ... but could have been moreinteresting ... may be by adding more elements...

The dust definitely does not help here. It also looks underexposed at the fork's business end.
