 This flicker landed on my deck rail about 5' from me and let me take a few photos before continuing on it's way.
I PS I isolated and cut out the bird removing all background. I tweeked the color and then drop shadowed.

nice detail in the bird, though I might add a bit of contrast. I'm not a fan of the drop shadow but that is just a matter of taste, if I were to add a shadow it would be one to give the illusion of the light shining down on him.
