 Playing around a bit today while waiting for the phone to ring for work. This is a macro of a macro, I shot today of a painting, on my computer. The funny thing is, the macro of the screen image is better than the original macro. I also used a +4 macro filter on my lens.

If it wasn't from your comment, I'd never guess this was taken from a computer screen. I would have assumed this type of shot to be blurry but it is fairly sharp. The texture of the canvas is really cool.

The colors & shapes remind me of confetti ! really interesting textures going on as well- brush strokes and "pitting'. Very neat, Sean :)

That +4 does a very nice job of getting a sharp macro focus. This image somehow reminds me of "Sponge Bob" cartoons. I think that it is the colors, and mostly the particular combo of blue and yellow.

Interesting idea. It doesn't look at all like a picture taken of a monitor. Neat lines and textures here that you probably overlook when the painting is on the wall.

Wow, this is a picture of your computer monitor? You can't tell - the texture is so rich! Usually when I try to shoot something on my monitor it comes out all pixellated and wierd looking.
