For this shot, I had a slight stream of water running from the faucet into a stainless steel sink. I was at work - so did not have any fancy stuff to use as a backdrop. The reflections in the drops are the mammography room and a hint of my shoulder and side of my head in the lower drop. The only lighting I had was from the room lights and my on board flash

That's a dashed good capture. Sounds like a pretty difficult thing to do.

I like that the drops looks like glass or some weirdly shape ice cubes. Very cool - no pun intended ;). I do wish the drops were sharper but the story of how you shot this makes up plenty for it!

I also thought they looked like ice. Nicely done!

WOW!!!!! The water drops look like little crystals or ice cubes, not cubes but icy in look. I am amazed at the shapes of the water droplets, I never thought they looked that way. I want to try this.

Great capture. I would think they look more like stones than water droplets.

Not something easy to capture I'm sure but certainly a subject I hope to get stuck into later this month :o) Love the weird reflections in the droplets, is this something you are going to keep trying?

The water droplets almost look like lava in a lava lamp that's gray. I agree that the reflections would be really cool to work with as a macro. What were you using as a backdrop? Perhaps some waterproof contact paper would have made some really nice patterns or added to the image.

Excellent- i can feel the water moving when viewing this! The reflection/refractions are wonderful :)

It's very interesting how the light refracted on the background. You might be able to do some interesting things with the imag that appears in the drop (and that might take an unreasonable amount of time to get just right too).

Unusual water droplets and I quite like the metallic feeling they have..... Just amazing.....

Wow, now I want to do that too! But my lenses are too short and my house not weather sealed - too risky :(

I'm surprised that the refractions in the background are that sharp. Did you perhaps focus a bit behind the water drops?

Wow, very cool! Not at all the shape I think of when I think of drops.
