In this one, even though the BG looks busy, its pattern echoes the shape of the petals. Would love to see this with a square crop, to focus all our attention on the flower head. Congrats to you for seeing the potential of this. |

I would like a tighter crop on this. The swirling old petals are incredible and so detailed. It is truly a wonderful find. |

Another interesting image, I like the swirling effect that the dried petals have. I am unsure of your settings but would have preferred the background to be a little more out of focus, as it is at the moment it is a little too distracting. Look forward to seeing more shots from you this month :o) |

The background works really well in this one by complimenting the lines of the petals. BeckyT's square crop idea might look nice, I might also be tempted to just crop the top down closer to the the top petal. |

Nice detail on the dead flower. Try a square crop to see what feel it gives you. Great shallow DOF makes the dead flower pop. |
