 Normally a little gigglepot, this one has his moments of incredible self confidence and is fast becoming aware of his pulling power with the ladies! This is one such time and his assertive manner oozes forth. I hope people will see more than a 'kiddie' shot.

This photo seems to float... seems alive. I like the contact made by the subjects eyes. Great capture!

In every Free Study there are mediocre portraits - lots of them. I was so delighted to see this most inspired and vivid portrait, which really stands way out from all the others. It got high marks from me, and I'm happy to see it mentioned in the Posthumous thread. Beautiful work.

Excellent crop and amazing eyes! The flash has produced an unattractive shadow position and is angled slightly upwards which is unnatural way for it to go. If this is on camera (or hotshoe) flash then you may have been better turning the camera the other way around and so the flash in on camera right, this would have given a better lighting on the face I think. Just my opinion though and this is an excellent portrait as it is

What a handsome young man with such beautiful blue eyes. The sparkle in his eyes and the shine on his curls make this an outstanding portrait although I guess it would be hard to go wrong with a face like that. I gave you a 10.
