 Another shot from C and my time in DC. I had a couple of postcard type shots (The White House, Reflection Pool by the Lincoln Memorial) but for some reason I just love this image (I think it is to do with the beautiful colour of the sky and the fact that you can see the columns so well...I am a sucker for columns)

Think it will do about 5.3, but another of those shots where the meory and my happiness of taking it outweighs any score

Well Jon, not sure what it would take to make this score higher, because I think it is a pretty good looking image. That blue sky is indeed gorgeous! It's a great contrast to the designs of the building. I love how you managed to capture so much detail and not blow anything out with that lighting. Good for you for putting in something that makes you happy :)

What a powerful photograph. Diagonals alway lend a strong feeling to an image, but this one also have the feeling of stone and age. This is truly an image for the times.

Not to discount the powerful feeling of wonderful times and happy memories, but this transcends them.

Such a bold image. Love the amazing blue you captured against the harsh memorial. Very lovely. But really... had you shot the other side of that corner, I believe you might've caught Kansas etched on there. Might've scored higher if you had ;)

You really processed this so beautifully... it was so cold that day, I hardly remember the sky looking so lovely.
