thanks again to the high diving team for letting me photograph during their training. and special thanks to this pictures model andre, who was nice and brave enough to do this "pose" for me.
you can find the whole story including the "setup" of this shot in one comment of this tryptich i entered for the b&w side challenge:

i predict a mid 5 for this one, but i don't care, i really love this shot and the little blur of the jumper. i even put this photograph in one of my applications for art schools.

Fantastic image. Simple, beautiful and iconic. I personally love the blur, there's a great contrast of motion and stillness in this lovely representation of flying free :)

His posetur is FANTASTIC!! Brilliant capture, I love how its not entirely sharp too, can only show how fast he must have been! <3

I think it's strong in the B&W in the triptych, but it's a very cool shot. I can absolutely understand your pride. :)

Nice one indeed. A surreal never-to-be-repeated moment. I'd have been sweating up on that high board.

Quite wonderful. Can spend a while looking at it. (Downsizing and sharpening perhaps didn't do it any favours - don't mean the blur but the edges of his torso and legs).

This is a great perspective, and I really like those two wet footprints on the platform. : )

brilliant mixture of sports and iconography. I've never seen this, or rather I've seen this many times and never knew I was seeing it until you showed me.

I love the angle this is taken at ... personally though I would have like the man captured with a faster shutter speed ... though I do like the DOF

There's something about this that looks "cut and pasted" about it. Overprocessed?
