OK, so I forgot when I was editing it that you can't use layer masks on saturation :(, oh well, live and learn I guess. Oh, and thanks for all the great comments and critiques.

Wow. I'm very impressed by this - you completely meet the challenge, but in a refreshingly novel way.

This is a little creapy, but nice idea. The movement in the painting and hand work well together.

This doesn't meet the challenge topic.

Interesting. With advanced editing I would have considered smoothing the transition between wrist and painting.

I really love this image. I have no idea how it was accomplished, but it is beautiful.

It looks like a lot of work went into this, but it's kind of hard to make it all out. Clever idea.

WOW.....very nice...but, I'll bet that you're getting some comments from the "hard core DPCers" "just captured a piece of artwork?????? Hope I'm wrong on that because I really like it!

This photograph has a strong sense of movement. The line of the yellow seems to be the path of the hand.

Interesting take on the theme, really like the colours and texture. Though I continuously find my eye drawn away from your hand, which I'm not sure is a good thing.

An amazing photo. You almost can't tell the hand is real and that it is part of the painting. great job with good texture.
