The background is, IMO, blurred to just the right amount. Enough to take away its emphasis, yet not so much that it's unrecognisable.

Really cool shot. I like the emotion it portrays. I'm not too keen on the fact that you have lost your arms. Perhaps, that's what you're contemplating.
