I too like this one the best. Mainly because it is brighter and I can see more. I liked the tones of the first one except that it was darker. This has a twilight feel to it.

I prefer this one of the three. I am biased towards warmer tones and the straight b&w seems too dark. This one seems more wide open and inviting, I would have loved to watch the eclipse here! |

This one works best for me on my dark monitor as it has more details. Just whish the moon had some detail in it. Another shot I think would look great printed big on a wall! |

I also like this one the best of the three. What a harsh looking landscape! Just a couple of trees on a vast plain. I'm not sure what creates the glow in the middle of the sky, but I like it. |

This is my preferred version. I like the warmth of the tones, even though the scene is cold. I like how the glow in the sky is competing with the moon for attention. From a technical standpoint, this is the cleanest of the three - the first has some sort of artifacting around the moon itself; the second has some banding in the sky-glow area, though it kinda works OK that way. But I still prefer the feel that the tones of this one gives me. |
