 Fun with sparklers in the garden. I got the lighting all wrong but only had 5 sparklers - the intention was just to have only me lit up but the side light was just too powerful and brought out the foreground. Also I think I should have opened up a bit from f10 to get rid of some background. All good things to know for next time (and I'm definitely going to do this again, with lots more sparklers!).

Lit from one brolly camera left, one right both at 45 to me.

I'm getting to the point where I'd do ANYTHING to get a studio space where I could do this stuff on decent backgrounds and flooring...heaven is an empty room I can call mine :)

PP: convert from raw, levels, crop, usual.

Another image that I love from the session is this...a small insight as to what I could have done with a lower camera position and better lighting...next time...

Pretty cool how you managed to coordinate both hands. If I'd tried this, I'd probably have stuck one of those sparklers straight into the top of my head or into my eye.
