Yep - more multiples from me. I basically spent most of today shooting for the brown ribbon challenge instead of finishing Chapters 5, 6 and 7 of my thesis as planned. So, when I finally finished the shot I sat down to watch the footie...my beloved Tottenham Hotspur FC...and setup the tripod and timer to kill two birds with one stone.
In terms of lighting this scene is a nightmare. I actually had two brollies on hand but with the mirror and the reflecting doors in front of me (and no polariser) meant massive headaches. Also the light was just too pure for the very yellowy/beige tones of the light and room and didn't seem right or at all like reality. There's also a glass table in there for more grief...and then there's the light and the television to expose for. It's actually impossible to do with one exposure (or if you can, show me!) - so I've tonemapped this in parts, mainly the TV picture (shot separately) and a bit of the upright light which was totally blown out. I tried HDRing the scene and then compositing me on top but the HDR didn't look any good.
Also, long exposures each one (4s I think) because of the ambient light, so hard to keep me sharp. Works at this small res but no way any larger.
PP: convert from RAW, mask and composite me, tonemap tv and light, border, resize, usm, jpg. |

That's a neat layout you've created there. I particularly like the circle you've set up. |

I like how you went from uninterested to over excited. |

WOW Thats a whole mess of work for this image. ALthough in the image closest to us, it look like you are smoking a doobie L()L. It looks like you controlled your light very well through all of the exposures and processed them seamlessly. Yet, if I remembered I might have taken the camera out of the window but ya know. Great work on this. |

This town aint big enough for all of you. ;-) Well done, but I would've tweaked the white balance to get rid of the yellow hue - it's distracting overpowering. :)
edit: I shoulda read your notes first.
