 Spent the long weekend in Death Valley, shooting for myself and trying to pick up some challenge entries along the way as well. Had an idea for a leading lines photo using the long desert roads, but this was a family trip, so couldn't just wait around for the light to make the picture work. Then on the way home Monday drove out through Wildrose Canyon which eventually dumps out to Panamint Valley Road, where I saw this vista spread out beside me. Pulled over to the side, took the camera off my lap (fortunately with the 14 mm already on) stood out in the middle of the road and snapped off a dozen pics just before heading out on the 9 hour drive back home.

nice ska and landscape, but I would have prefered to see the white lines more in the foreground... they would have added to the "leading" feeling...

it would have been cooler if you had the white dotted line down the middle further up so it is longer and it adds more to your leading line.

foreground is just missing something, too bad there's not more center lines closer to the foreground, great sky though

I just love the sky. I wish that the road markings would start from the very front, I think that way the photo would have a stronger impact.

oh wow, great sky. The one thing i would have done different would be to place the center lines closer to the bottom of the frame. As it stands now it seems like a little too much empty space
