I had nothing for today and saw the moon as I drove home and decided to try getting a picture. I tried previously with the Sigma 70-300 but not the Canon 70-200. By the time I got out there after dinner contrast was really high and the wind chill was about -10F. I didn't stay out long but this one turned out OK. I used the 1.4x extender.

That's so pretty, Ken. I've never seen it before. Wonderful process - this would make a kicking print.

This is a wonderful photo. Looks like the moon is rolling in rather then rising.

Super fantastic shot and process. You are very creative when it comes to processing. I would have never thought to use the flood filter with this, of course that isn't in my repertoire of filters yet though. Perfect choice of frame, I like how the picture blends out into the frame.

I took the same shot yesterday with my 18-200, but before sunset. Maybe I'll process it tonight and put it up as a comparison shot. Mine won't be nearly as detailed. I like the water refection.

Hey, Ken, did you let your wife take a picture of your brain? Cause...

Don't know nothing yet about the flood filter, but I can't imagine the moon floating on the water. It just looks wonderful.
