A tribute to casualguy blue ribbon shot from the PI challenge so long ago

Blacked out a window in my studio using stick on black vinyl. I then cut out the peace sign. I then shot a macro of my daughters eye using the available light
from the cut out peace sign.

Had to give direction to my model so that I could position the catchlite peace sign in the center of her eye.

I wish I had thought of this for the recent "Eye" challenge

Great idea, very well implemented. Love the DOF. The relection shows up great. It bothers me a little that is in not centered but that's a nit.

I like the peace sign in the eyes, that's really intristing. But they look calm.

Beautiful shot with the peace symbol reflected in the eye. I would be interested in how you did this. 9

Always an interesting effect. Works well here, but the reflected symbol does feel a little harsh to tie into the eye completely.

sharp focus on the eye. creative and original.

DOF too shallow and the photo suffers b/c of the out of focus lower lid. Also, the bloodshot sclera fights with the reflection in the pupil for the viewers focus.

this is very well executed. I remember Techo mentioned the difficulty to place "i" in the center in his entry in "Reflections Without Mirrors III" challenge. you have done an excellent job here. 9

This must have taken a lot of work to set up, but it is just way too gimmicky for me.

Very creative how the peace is very small but yet it makes your eye very drawn to it. Nice touch.

good idea w/ the peace sign in the eye. It has good value with the eye color.

cool shot. I'd maybe crop off the overexposed part on the bottom and a little off the left.

I'd be interested to know how you did this - wonder if it was a cut out that went over a light? Very clever.
