Another attempt at the texture overlay method. This time it's a gauze cloth used in pottery; I used it the other day when I made the cup behind me.
The cup turned out bigger than I planned (it will still shrink a bit as it dries and then gets fired in the kiln). The plate in front of it is made with the same two clays, but it's almost dried out because I made it the week before. When they get fired, they will turn white and dark brown.

I love your texture overlays, that are absoluely fantastic, and no one can say it isn't 'real' photography with your textures. Wonderful work.

Ha! Your "texture overlays" are the best. Interesting what things you find out about people, I didn't know you were a potter!! The busy background works here. Normally I would complain about it, but for some reason, it's good. Thank you for the explanation on the clay, I never knew how that worked! Great SP! :)
