 Yes, Moa means chicken. The chickens were emancipated in 1992 on Kaua`i and have become as common as tourists on the beaches and back yards.

It looks like you might have been stalking this chicken to have a nice dinner, prepared on your gas stove... :o)

Nice photo - I like the perspective of peeking through the greenery. The chicken is clearly clueless.
